Why are all these shootings happening?

One cause is definitely the media.

If you were someone starving for attention and recognition, what's the easiest way to get publicity? Do something crazy on the news? Try to break a world record? How about commit a Mass Murder?

That's right, commiting a mass murder certainly is the easiest way, it also comes with jailtime and a mass amount of hatred, but why is this?

The media loves to shine light on the person who committed the crime. All the shootings and mass murders you've seen over the years, how much airtime do the victims get vs. the killer?

It's a big difference right?

I say we give the victims more airtime, thus making the next shooter a little more intimidated instead of trying to "top" the last guy!

The First Computer Build

My first build will be undreway early next month! I'll be sure to keep you updated with my components, mods, progress, struggles, troubleshooting, etc. all on a weekly basis.

What makes a Nature Picture Stand Out?

I have always found that out off all of my pictures that I have taken, the ones I love best have either a water source or the sky included in them. Next time you go to a park, try it out. Take a picture of a forest, then a forest with a tiny stream and see which one stands out to you more.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Snails

The Prequel to the Zombie Apocolypse

This is how it will all go down, a France-Based BioHazard company will be just a tad careless with their hazardous materials. Now these materials have been tested for negative effects on virtually everything....except snails. Some of the liquified material will drip from a giant vat that is located just underneath the Eifel tower (they ran out of room). The snails SLOWLY glided over the mysterious substance with no effects, that is until one curious snail took a chunk out of it. 

The snail instantly grew tiny arms, stood upright, shrank to half the size of his shell, and scurried off into the distance.

Timmy was playing in the yard of his parents mansion in Sandusky, Ohio. When he felt a sharp pain in his foot, he thought nothing of it and continued to play in the sandbox. He was then called in for dinner, but was unable to eat anything.

After about a week of unable to eat anything, he was rushed into the ER, and the put into the ICU, he was in really rough shape.

Everyone was really worried about him, then one night something happened. The lights were off in his room (he shared a room with 3 other people) then there was a blood curdling scream!

After a few minutes all was silent. The nurse came in for her daily stats check on the patients, and what she saw was the most gruesome scene ever. There was blood on the walls, all 4 bodies were just laying there, motionless.

Then, it happened.

They all started to slowly get up, almost at the same time and slowly moved toward the nurse. She tried to run, but the Zombies were to strategic with their placement throughout the room. That's how the zombie's began their world takeover.

Windshield GPS

A GPS That Doens't Reduce Visibility

It will have voice controls so you never have to take your hands OR eyes off the wheel while searching for something to do. It will feature a VERY opaque view, so it'll barely distract you at all, directions will be displayed in real time, as well as when to make lane changes.

It will also feature a Parking-Space Finder, so you never have to stress about finding a parking spot in places like Seattle, New York, LA, etc.

It'll be one extremely useful and powerful device!

The New Lincoln Logs

Last night I was just letting my mind wander, then all of a sudden I started thinking about Lincoln Logs, I'm not sure why, because it was so random.

Then I started thinking about how toy companies are now using wall mounts for their toys.

How can Lincoln Logs be improved while keeping everything neat and tidy?

That's where Magna-Styx come in. They are little "Styx" that have a magnet built into them, They will be powerful enough to hold a structure, if you have a solid base foundation. So really it could reach out to beginning engineers, showing them weight displacement for buildings or other structural projects. The container they come in will also be magnetic, so after you scoop them all up with a single "stick", they will just cling on to the interior of the container, making it easy to clean up, fun to play with, as well as educational

Line up at the Drag Strip, PERFECTLY EVERYTIME!

How?

I was watching a lot assistant at a car dealership line up the cars, he got in and out of the same car at least 10 times to get them perfectly lined up. It looked tedious and annoying that's what sparked this little idea.

The Line Up

What it will be essentially is a big magnetic strip, right where the "Christmas Tree" (The lights at a Drag Strip) is. This magnet will only attract the special Magnet that came with the device, you put the magnet on the front end of the car and the strip pulls the car to it, lining it up perfectly with the competition.

More Halloween Ideas!

Halloween is coming up FAST!

Are you ready for Fright night? I know I am, I've got my Costume picked out and everything. My Costume is extremely simple consisting of a Morphsuit, and Some LED Finger lights, what am I? I'm a RAVER!

What are you going as on Halloween night?

Something that would be cool, is to have a projector projected blood dripping down the side of your house, A Slenderman statue in the distance, and a fog machine to add the creepiness effect of the whole place. You could even go with more of a Halloween Rock 'N' Roll theme, by having heavy rock music blasting out of your house. One other idea includes a Rave 'O' Ween, for those who are into the rave scene freaknight is in 2 DAYS! Unfortunately I wasn't able to go this year, but you could throw your own Mini Freaknight of sorts.

Those are the only ideas I have at the moment unfortunately.

Halloween is coming up!

This calls for Pumpkin Carving Ideas!

One I just thought of yesterday consisted of getting two pumpkins (or a ton of them) and cut shapes out of them, creating a puzzle of interlocking pumpkins. It may be tricky to get some of the shapes pointing outward, but maybe you can shave that pumpkin to a smaller size making the shape stand out, I'm not positive but I think it would look amazing. 

Maybe you can attempt to do a self portrait of yourself without the help of a mirror or anything else reflective, if you're really good, charge people for you to do "Pumpkin Portraits" of them :D

Now for a bonus idea: Carve a mythical creature, either widely known or something you thought up yourself, Such as a Unigator, Crocoturtle, Platyhorse, or many others. Have fun :D

New Traffic Lane

You Have Multiple Lanes on a Road

A bike Lane, Shoulder, and Individual traffic lanes, but where are the skaters supposed to go? These are the people who are left out, thus having them result to skating down the sidewalks, and overall being rebels in a way. 

Will there be less problems with a "Skater Lane"?

To give them a little more fun, you could even bank those lanes allowing them to carve the corners. It'll be like the roads are your skatepark in a way. Sure there's going to have to be some safety measures and whatnot, but do you think skaters will accept this and appreciate it, or neglect it and continue to rebel?

Graffiti Areas

I also think there should be some "Graffiti Areas" around every town, that may reduce Graffitie being plastered Illegally on public property. I love graffiti, I think it adds a blast of color to a colorless world, something to look at as you drive/walk by. Graffiti is also abstract in a way, different paintings could be interpreted in SO many ways depending on who it is. Sorry for the shortish post, not a lot of inspiration has come by this week.

Sunsets

One of the BEST Sunsets

I have ever seen was at about 7 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2012. It had magnificent pinks, oranges, and yellows, the clouds looked like a storm of color across the orange/blue sky. I think it's interesting  how sunsets only appear in a certain part of the sky, like a focal point in a painting.

They help me relax as I watch them, which lets my mind wander, when my mind wanders ideas start sparking up all over the place. That's how I came up with my Fire&Ice concept which I plan to develop sometime in the future. They also help me with posts on the other blog I run. 

Some of the Best Pictures Feature Sunsets

They either feature sunsets, a blue sky, or a blurred object with a clear sky/sunset in the background. The sky is an amazing mystery if you really look into it. There are more clouds as the seasons change, the suns rays don't reach as far as you get closer to fall, lightning storms happen and produce a spectacular show. Sometimes I just sit back and watch the clouds move past me, especially when the clouds are moving faster than usual. Once that sun starts setting and the light bounces off of the clouds it's so amazing. 

How are all those colors formed?

I honestly have no idea, but it's an amazing addition rather then just some light hitting some clouds.

Restaurant Idea!

ABNORMAL RESTAURANTS

Restaurants with a VERY unique twist! 

      You're going on a date and come across this restaurant called: "The Date Place". The restaurant is decorated like an immaculate palace, candles are everywhere, soothing aromas feel the air. 

       You take a table, the waiter greets you with a smile and asks what you'd like to order, he then proceeds to tell you to stay for the live entertainment in 30 Minutes. The date's going well, you both are excited for the entertainment, thinking it will be a nice, soothing band playing love songs. 

       All of a sudden the lights dim, you can see shadows behind the curtains. Once the curtains drop it's something you never expected. The band jumps out, playing hard guitar riffs, singer screaming nonsense into the mic, and pyrotechnics going off all around. 

      The best of both worlds, everything she loves, with a live performance you love! That's just one idea, play around with it and share what you come up with!

The Quartz Way

Sorry for the late post

      I got a little ill over the last few days, regardless I'm still here! I haven't really been able to work with Quartz Composer anymore since my last post, I've got to free up some space so my mac runs at a faster framerate when Quartz is running.

      I did find something interesting though, I used the picture above to create some sort of laser in the background, and to my surprise it worked! It's a really amazing laser effect, even though there us a slight disruption in the middle, that can be easily covered up with a logo, color-changing sphere or other shape, or so many other shapes.

      Unfortunately, I have not found ANY new information on this, and have searched all over the web. Once I figure this out I'll be sure to let you know, possibly even make a tutorial video. It may be the first or ONLY tutorial on how to use timelines in Quartz Composer EVER!

The Start

Creativity Peak?

What is Creativity Peak?

      Creative people need some sort of outlet, and this is just one of mine :D I'm really interested in Visual Effects, Programming, Website Building, and Marketing. The funny thing is I'm not an artist at all, I just see what I want in my head, but can never seem to draw it. I guess you can call me a Modern Artist in a sense.

The Past Few Days

      I have been messing around with Quartz Composer, which is a visual programming tool used for effects, animations, and photo manipulation. There aren't a ton of tutorials on it, so I've had to figure a lot of it on my own, right now I'm trying to figure out how to put a Kaleidoscope-like effect behind 6 pictures, a sound-responsive logo, a realtime clock, and 3 sound responsive orbs. No luck so far, but I'm still trying. I'm also making a nice sound-responsive animation for parties and whatnot.

Within a few minutes of posting this, I figured out how to put that background behind everything, send me a comment if you're curious to know how it was done. 

(How to Install Quartz Composer)

A Few Weeks Ago

      I mostly built a website for the Cyphyn Blog but, abandoned it because the company I was using to host, decided to force ads onto my site. So, I'm starting to build it offline, when I started I knew absolutely nothing about code, it's intimidating when you think of actually learning a coding language. I started using this site as a tutorial, and managed to learn it in 3 days! During that whole time I was building the Cyphyn Blog website, which helped accelerate me in the learning process, I really am a hands-on type of person.

My Primary Photo Editing Tool Is

      Photoshop Elements 10, It's just an INCREDIBLE piece of software. There is so much to do with the stuff that's already built into it, it's kind of like using the RGB (Red,Green,Blue) scale to create an infinite amount of colors. 

Well, that pretty much sums up the introduction. I'm going to try my best and post something every Wednesday at about 12 PM (PST)
